Apples and orangesThat's like comparing a Mario platformer to a Mario sports title. They're completely different.Do you think RE:UC is dissapointing comp ...
I've never played UC but I'd play it first, not because it might be ''dissapointing'' but because it goes through a lot of the resident evil story line that you may have missed out on and you can get a feel for some of the characters, that way when you play RE4 it'll be a lot better knowing who is who and what's going on. (although it's not necessary to play it first to understand, it just helps you get a feel for characters backstories)
RE4 is miles better butUC is a different type of game.
Apples and orangesThat's like comparing a Mario platformer to a Mario sports title. They're completely different.
exactly.... one is a adveture/action (maybe under cathegory of horror/survival); the other is a rail on FPS shooter. In there cathegories they ar eboth excellent. And to RE fan (me being one) I do not think it was a dissapointment. The story is pretty good (as far as i go) the gameplay is really good and fast passing. And it has a great value in collecting old and new story/fact from the RE series.Plus it has the Co-op mode which can be really fun :D (of course this is just based imo and in a couple of post that i have read from fans and friends, some have not like it... :P that is what make the world so good..)
i have both and they are both great
Thanks all, i've never played RE series before, so i think i'm gonna start with RE:UC to understand RE4 story more. good? :D
Sure, go ahead. It will help a bit, but you don't really need to know that much for RE4.
Thanks all, i've never played RE series before, so i think i'm gonna start with RE:UC to understand RE4 story more. good? :D
oh yea.. if you can not get the GC games (or are not interested) get RE UC to get some background... then go with RE4 :D enjoy...
Sure, go ahead. It will help a bit, but you don't really need to know that much for RE4.
yea.. you do not need to... But there was someone no too long ago.. asking:
who was Adda?? why did she betrayed Leon?? Where and how did they meet?? and so on...
so even thus RE UC would not answer much of this may give him/her a lil background  imo
RE4 is way better
RE4 is a far superior single player experience and overall game.
RE:UC is a great two player game, one player its fun and challenging but really falls under the 'pick up and play' game where you wouldn't put much time into compared to RE4.
I got both games, but i havent played them. If RE4 is better, do you think i should play RE:UC first before playing RE4?
RE4 is a single player, fast paced action game...UC is a rail-based fps shooter designed mostly for multiplay, but is still fun solo...Both are very entertaining, I would say that both are worth checking out...Plenty of collection and weapon upgrading in both games, I like UC because of its collection aspect and ranking system. I own both, and have beat both
Thanks all, i've never played RE series before, so i think i'm gonna start with RE:UC to understand RE4 story more. good? :D
Yeah thats the best way if you dont want to bother playing the original fill games in the serries. I had a lot of Fun unlocking eveything in UC.
no duh RE4 is better UC is just an arcade shooter how could it be better?
no duh RE4 is better UC is just an arcade shooter how could it be better?
Well, they're not even the same type of game...so saying one is better than the other doesn't make any sense...I actually have more fun when playing UC with a friend than I doplaying RE4 by myself...I think both are great games in their own right
RE4 is miles better butUC is a different type of game.

I got both games, but i havent played them. If RE4 is better, do you think i should play RE:UC first before playing RE4?
Games are a different experience from one to another. I love them both. Is not easy to compare them and, if you're a fan of the series you may love RE:UC, is great to see all the ''beloved'' locals and fight all of the battles and unveil the story behind Umbrella. In this case RE4 will be the icing on your RE cake.
If you're not an actual fan, then most likely you'll prefer RE4, wich is a great action game with excellent controls. RE:UC can be a good multiplayer and I think you could enjoy it the best with a friend, but it will be a lighter experience.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Both are fun, RE:UC is a light gun shooter, or in other terms, its like an on-rails shooter you would play in an arcade. Its fun, especially co-op. RE4 is different -- its a single player action/adventure third person shooter. Its easily one of the best games ever created. As far as which title is better, its obviously RE4, but both make good gaming experiences regardless.
