I got $51 store credit, but something confused me.Zelda:TP- $17Pokemon Pearl- $18Animal Crossing- $11Dragon Quest Rocket Slime- $5Why on all of the face of this earth and a little bit of the moon did I get more money for Pokemon than Zelda? O_o So... I traded in a couple games at Game ...
There might be more used copies of Zelda than Pokemon.So... I traded in a couple games at Game ...
I would have given you 20 for TP. I haven't bought it yet with all the other games I have purchased. :(
Selling your games at Gamestop is the worst decision you can make. You could have made more if you went to ebay.
Selling your games at Gamestop is the worst decision you can make. You could have made more if you went to ebay.
I agree, I never deal with Gamestop when it comes to trading in games...I go to a local store to trade them in or sell them on E-bay
wow sorry to say but you got ripped off. You pretty much lost over $100 doing that trade in, sad thing is they are probably going to mark up the price of those games by more than 60%.

What would be the point of them buying used games if they didn't resell them at a higher price?
i dont trade my games anymore.its crazy how they stole ur monie.i just wait if i want a game.
I don't trade in games either. It's worth more to me to be able to play an old game if I ever feel like it, than I can usually get for trading them in. Sometimes they have a bonus for tradeins, then it's worth considering.

i said probably mark up the price by more than 60%.
Zelda:TP- $17Pokemon Pearl- $18Animal Crossing- $11Dragon Quest Rocket Slime- $5
They're going to sell for Zelda TP = 39.99Pokemon Diamond = Don't even have used so I'm guessing 29.99Animal Crossing = 29.99Dragon Quest = 17.99So they're making over 60 bucks off of you.Why doesn't anyone ever listen to me? When you want to get rid of old games you donate them to a hospital and then take them off your taxes. That way you get FULL price of what the game is going for used.Sheesh

Yeah, that Zelda you just sold back will be on the shelf for $45 marked 'used'. $17 to $45... yeah, you got screwed.
If you have any FYE stores near you, you should DEF do trade ins there. I got 22$ cash for Zelda TP and 18$ cash for RE4 on gamecube.
the only time ive ever got a decent amount of money back is if the game is still fairly new:x
You got jacked. I made $35 for my ZeldaTP on ebay. NEVER sell your games back to game stores.
yea i would never trade stuff in at gamestop, it's just not worth the money.
Trade ins in England are pretty decent, I got $40 for TP when I traded it in in about March. Probably still get at least $25 now. Traded in Brain Training the other day and got $20 I only bought it for $24 XD (If you wonder why I put everything as dollars even though I'm English it's to compare, It's easy anyway I just double it it's about right.
I agree with everyone who said that trade in is overall a bad idea. Just as an example, I called GameStop out of curiousity one day to see how much they would give someone Trauma Center: New Blood or Soul Calibur Legends (mind you this is on the DAY THESE GAMES WHERE RELEASED) and they said that trade in value was on $25. A 1/2 markdown on a BRAND new game! Amazing!

Essentially all of the prices are directly related to how many of those games we have in stock, the demand for them, and any kind of deals/sales promations we can make with them. It is unfortunate that this is the case, but if you're in canada I can tell you the reason. The reason why in canada that the sales and prices for everything went all wierd was because the company became american owned and things have changed. The one thing i find funny is is that my store that i work at will accept most types of currency except the american dollar :P makes me laugh all the time.
