Wii Sports is for Hardcore Gamers!

Sure it's easy to ''pick up and play'', but Wii Sports is definitely for hardcore gamers. I mean anyone can play Ms. Pac-Man, but can you anyone master it (I haven't) or even get past the 2nd mixed-fruit level to the 4th board?Wii Sports is one of the greatest multi-player games ever made! Sure, it's a great party game...even for those that have never played the Wii. But keep playing it, and the game keeps getting deeper and deeper. I mean, have you bowled a 300, or picked up a 7-10 split? Do you throw ''real'' change-ups to fool the other player in Baseball? Can youlay offthe side-arm splitter or do you swing through it everytime (it looks like a curve ball!)? Have you made a hole-in-one on any of the par 3 holes (yes, Hole 3)? Have you shot a 6-under on 9 holes (that's my best)? Do you have crazy net rally's in tennis that leave both players literally rolling on the floor laughing? Have you played an entire 5-Set match without serving one soft serve? Oh, and boxing is fun too...Come on people. Wii Sports has the replay value of some of the best all-time games. The only game that will surpass Wii Sports in this area will be the sequel, but who knows when that's coming. Anyone else ''hardcore'' like me?Wii Sports is for Hardcore Gamers!
wii sports doesn't allow you too get past a cetain skill barrierthere's no strats or tricks you rly just wave the remote tbhWii Sports is for Hardcore Gamers!
How do you throw different pitches in wii baseball? Baseball is the most boring/ not fun of them all.
there's no strats or tricks you rly just wave the remote tbh
Ummm, play the game then come back?
yea wii sports rox...when i got pro in bowling and and golf i went donkey kong ape!!! ur right though...it is somewhAT of a surface but if you go that extra step, you can do some pretty amazing s***. too bad it wasnt online enabled...that would roc =Dplus its the only game i have that my younger and older sister, cousins, MOTHER, and aunts play regularly...so yea i pay my respect too wii sports
I'm getting sick of people claiming this or that is hardcore or casual. It varies from person to person there is no universal understanding of what is or isn't hardcore.
Baseball is actually pretty deep, even though it's only 3 innings. Of course you can throw the curve, screwball, and sinker with combinations of the A %26 B buttons. If you press either the 1 or 2 button before you pitch (I can't remember which one) the remote will vibrate. Then you will throw sidearm until you hit the other button (1 or 2) to go back to throwing overhand. Also, my super-secret change-up is when I softly flick the remote at the very start of my throwing motion and then end my motion with a quick wrist flick (as if I'm throwing a fast pitch). Of course, this only works when playing against another person, but it can full them since they'll think you're throwing a 90 mph pitch when a 65 mph pitch floats up there.

That's my best Wii Baseball secret. I'm only giving it up here, because I'm sure I'll never play against any of you guys (although it could be at the Wii Sports World Championships...if there really is a God.)
WRONG! It's for everyone.
im ganky at baseball...i romp at bowling and golf though. tennis is my next conquest. but on a surface its for everyone...but some people just dont go as far to reach the pro levels or tweaking some of the gameplay that goes by unnoticed. different pitches, hyper curves on the bowling, etc. it has depth if u wanna go that far. too bad it doesnt have online play :(

Even an online leaderboard would be better than nothing. I am confident that with Wii Sports 2,we'll be able to play online, set up tournaments, and all that cool stuff.
I started to hate Wii Sports after I beat the champ in boxing...now everyone fights with 1337 skills and I can't do much more than getting knocked every once in a while
I think I got your point, but it is not only for harcore gamers, it is for everyone. You need to be a hardocore gamer to master it, but you can also play it even if you are not a gamer. It's not only for harcore gamers.
Hardcore and casual don't actually exist. It is a psychological barrier that gamers have somehow picked up over the years. What really makes a game or a person hardcore? Difficulty, knowledge, playtime? If anything, we should be diffened by what we enjoy, which is just simply video games.

I agree!!

There is a lot of deep stuff they threw in there. The game accommodates every audience that wants to play it.
If Wii sports wanted to appeal more to hardcore gamers they should have included some sort of tournement campaign for each of the games allowing you to win trophies and possible ''new player skills''. Wii Sports is a great game but anyone who plays it enough can pick up their game so I wouldn't say it is for the ''hardcore''.
