MP3 questions. Need help please.

OK this is gonna sound bad considering everyone here loves MP3. I though didn't have a great experience with the first one. I only got to the first outdoor area and thought it was a dry slow moving fps. Very few enemy encounters and nothing really to interest me so I got rid of it. I keep hearing about MP3 and everyone makes it sound like a really great game. I guess what makes MP3 better than 1? Are there more enemy encounters or boss fights or anything that makes the game-play feel faster or is it just MP1 with better graphics and the same, dull (to me it was and thats completely opinion) game-play. Convert me into a believer and make me want to play this game. I just need reasons!!MP3 questions. Need help please.
If you weren't so impatient and played more of MP, you would have enjoyed it. MP3 has more action but its still an adventure game. Why don't youjust play Halo insteadbecause that's obviously what you're looking for.MP3 questions. Need help please.

But in CG i completely lost intereste. The game was the same from one room to the next with the same enemies (imo as well, metroid lovers do not flame me  ) I heard that this was similar to MP1 but i tred any way, to see what all the fuse was about. Now i own the game. Why? I have not had much time to play, but for what i have here are the reason why i like this one over the others:- the controllers are amazing.- You can get to adventure a lot more (has more free exploring, imo) With even a few good puzzles.- bosses actually have a ''strategie to be kill'' is not just shooting like crazy. they have more enemies, and enemies that are more fun to play against (they have like a spider one that is so freaking annoying  is like the fleaman in CV  ) - graphics are suppose to be great (i honestely do not know about graphics and have never care about them) But is true the game looks really cool.So i guess that yu should at least rent it... and if you like it, like i did, then get it :D Hope that help.... and Rocky c`mon do not be mean, he is just asking why we think MP3 is so good :P
i wasn't trying to get flamed but I imagined I would. Oh well. Anyways it is not that I want to play Halo cause if I did I would purchase a 360 but nope I got my Wii. I guess I was just asking if the game was supposed to move at that pace. And what it was really all about. Just let me know everything that you like about it and so on and so forth. Try and be nice guys. I want to get into the game. I just need some help!!
MP3 is more of an adventure game than an true FPS. Discovering is an important factor, if you just want a fast-paced shooter, then yes, Halo3 would be better

Anywho, the graphics in MP# are pretty nice but that isnt to say that it'll wow you if you've played the others. My suggestion to you would be to try MP1 one more time and try to beat it. If you like by the time you reach the end, you'll know if you'll like it or not. But to answer your question: yes, there are more enemies to kill. Yes, its easier than the others in terms of gameplay. By the way, if you end up liking MP1, be aware that listening to people talk and and being in a populated evironment that tries to mimic halo (unfortunately) will apear extremelycorny and tacked on as well as laughable. Just thought i'd say that. (Flaming as a result for mentioning Halo in a descrption of MP3 commencing in 3...2...)
I usually tell people that if they didn't like MP1 or MP2 they probably won't like MP3, but it sounds like you didn't give MP1 much of a chance. You should at least rent MP3, maybe you'll get into it.
Thanks man. I will give it one more try just cause I had the wrong impression about the game. How many hours are the MP games anyways? Would it be better to play them through like a series or just go straight for 3? Thanks again!
It's a tossup which to play first. The first two control different than the third, and they look almost as good.
Will I be missing a ton of story line by going straight into the 3rd one?
I think what a lot of people liked about MP1 was the atmosphere and slow pacing. It made you feel like you were discovering things and not just killing everything that was thrown at you. Still one of my favorite games ever. MP3 has more of a story to keep it moving, and definitely more action, more interesting battles, and a faster pace. The best thing is probably the controls... if you have a Wii and are even curious about this game, you should play it!As far as playing the games in order, I don't see a problem in playing MP3 first. It'll probably hook you faster than the originals, and if you like it enough you may have more interest in playing MP1. #3 took me 18 hours to finish; #1 took me closer to 30. Hope that helps!
Well when I get off work I'am going to go rent it from blockbuster! I guess I could give it a try. Thanks for your help everyone. If anyone wants to comment more about this feel free. I'am at work till 5 and bored outta my mind and I really don't feel like doing any actual work lol.
Well, this is a real hard question. Metroid Prime series, as a whole, is a game about exploration, some research, physical puzzles and some epic battles (specially the boses which tend to be great and clever). The game mechanics are really well suited and aid the immersion feeling.

So, as many had said, is not a shooter and the action scenes are sparse but good.

I highly recommend you to give it a try, a long try. I really wish you to enjoy it.

Regards

I am going to start on it this evening after dinner. Than I have the next 5 days to play it cause I have off work for the holidays. I was saving that time for Zelda TP but I guess that can wait. The screens for MP have me more excited than the Zelda ones. And I own TP so I can start that whenever.
rent Metroid Prime 3....i've loved every single Metroid game from the NES days to MP2 on GCN....but MP3 fell short IMOStory wise, without MP1 and MP2 you'll be lost....but if you dont care for the story its not necessary to play the first 2

Look at his avatar :DAnyway, i wasnt sure if i wanted to get MP3, but somehow i did. Man, this is the best FPS i've played, why? because not just shooting the bad guy as in most FPS games, but actually u have to solve some puzzles. And plus, it has the best boss battle!

You barely scratched the surface of the game and already made up your mind that you didn't like it. You never even experienced any of the good parts of the game. Also, you complained that the game didn't have enough enemies. It's an adventure game, not an FPS. If you want an FPS, look elsewhere.
Oh my god, MP3 moves way, way, way faster, the shooting controls are great, and Hyper mode doesn't actually make more encounters, it just makes it a lot tougher.
