i have been hearing rumors that wii is nintendo last console, I hope it is not true because i grew up with nintendo i would nt want to see nintendo drop out of the hardware race. is wii nintendo's last console

Nintendo has stated a lot of times that they always start developing their next console as soon as they release one.
These ''rumors'' date back to people thinking that the Revolution would sell worse than the GC, thus forcing Nintendo to go the Sega route. Needless to say, speculation does not always pan out the way they expect...
