pfft.. how lucky was I?

So about a month ago I decided that I want a nintendo wii for christmas. I was pretty stupid to think I'd be able to get one, and believe it or not it was just a week ago I found out it's gonna be damn near impossible to get one. So instead I asked for a new pair of rollerblades... but then my dad let me in on a secret yesterday that he got a nintendo wii. I think it would've been better if he told me on Christmas day, but it's fine with me. He said he dropped by an EB Games while in the mall shopping for my sister's gift and they gave him a ticket with a 16 on it. They said to come back a little bit later as they'd have a shipment at 11am but he wouldn't be guaranteed one. It turns out they had 17 wiis, and people that called in to reserve it sooner didn't show up on time, so wow. He was able to buy one for $270 (plus tax) on December 21st. No camping... no fighting... no nothing.Thing that sucks is I asked someone else for Mario Galaxy and another game (told em to surprise me from a list of a few games) but instead I told them to get me a giftcard to Dick's which they already got... but hey, i'm lucky enough to just have one under the tree on christmas.Any other interesting Wii buying stories? pfft.. how lucky was I?
Good for you. The wiis a great console.I got mine last year. My moms friend was told that GameStop got 2 Wiis in and they weren't going to put them on the shelf, you had to ask for them. So my mom went in and they just got the shipment. The Manager was going to take one Wii and we got the other one. They had to give it to my mom under the table because they didn't want other people in the store to know that they only had 2 Wiis and cause a riot. I was very surprised that I got one. yeah, lucky you!i actually saw yesterday in a store here where i live, the guys had no wiis and then suddenly like at the same time 7 persons come in and out of the ''trash room'' they take out a lot of wiis and overprice them...its insane XD
yea that is lucky im gettinga Wii for X-Mas to:P and i gotmine about a week or so backalso but it was easy to get onesensei dont live in a big city. All i wantedfor christmas was a Wii and its sittingright under my tree:D

luck that isnt luck luck is when you walk in a store not even guaranteed a unit ,,, no slip no nothing and yet you happen to grab the very last unit on the shelf ,,, i did that when i got a second wii lol walked in to walmart and there it was no one was around thank god ,,, and i got the last unit they had

Wow ur lucky. when i got my wii i had to go to several different stores to try and find one after like my fifth store in a row (Shopko) i finally got their last one.

My dad wasn't guaranteed a console, and he happened to be number 16 on a shipment of 17 wiis. My dad said something about more people who called and reserved and would've gotten it ahead of us... but im not sure exactly how that works since he got a ticket with a 16 on it. What you said though is just amazing luck.
Congratz, I got mine on release day and camped outside of a target for 18 hrs for mine, The sad thing is i don't have any games to get for Christmas (Cause I bought all the ones i wanted) and i'm just asking for a couple small things, a pc game, and some cash for Brawl and Mario kart Wii. :D
