What's my wii number??

ok so i have a wii but how do i find out what my wii number is? And how do you get internet on the wii??What's my wii number??
1. How to get your Wii number: Switch on the Wii (that's quite important, make sure you don't miss it). Press A to get past the initial message page and you'll find yourself in the Wii Menu. Down at the right is a mail icon in a circle, click on it and you'll find yourself in the wii message board. On the left is an address book icon, click it and it'll open the address book at an empty page (where you're expected to add your wii friends codes), use the wii remote to go back 1 page and it'll display your Wii number.2. To get your Wii online: Do you have a wireless router? If so, you just need to go to the wii settings menu, find the bit for internet select your router's SID and type in your router's WEP/WPA code. If you don't have a wireless router then either, buy one or get a Nintendo USB device that turns your PC into a wireless access point, or get a Nintendo USB LAN adaptor and plug that into your Wii and a ethernet cable to the back of your PC and enable internet sharing on the PC.What's my wii number??
kk thanks man
Ok I have another question. I don't have wireless internet so im going to get a wii LAN adapter that you put in the usb port on your computer. But is this compatible with macs?
Windows XP and Vista I think, sorry.

So don't worry about what type of computer you have.
yea but it hooks into a usb slot and my internet box thing doesn't have a usb port.
No you would need XP or Vista. You should just get a router. I'm pretty sure you can get a decent one for less than the USB connector.
yea but it hooks into a usb slot and my internet box thing doesn't have a usb port.
Ah, spot of confusion...This is the thing that plugs into your PC's USB and allows your Wii, or DS, to connect to the internetand this...Lets you plug your Wii into your non-wireless router/cable modemThe former isn't compatible with MAC the latter doesn't need a PC/MAC.
