I have a DS but my wireless internet is WPA2 so I cannot play wifi with my DS cause it only supprts WEP. I was wondering if i get a Wii (which supports my WPA2) will my DS be able to connect through the Wii to play wifi?WII %26amp; DS Question
can some1 answer this before christmas plzWII %26amp; DS Question
i dont think the ds connects to the wii in that sense. I know that it can be used as a controller in the wii Pokemon game, and wii can also expand the screen onto the tv.............however, the connection should still be established through the ds. think aboutn it, the ds is the system actually running the game, it can't have an EXTENDED connection to the internet.also, i am not sure about this, but ds and wii use the same form of wifi and if the ds wont connect neither will the wii!
The Wii and DS connect directly, ''Ad Hoc'' style. Your router isn't used.

The wii supports WPA and the Ds does not. I'm sure there more depth to this, but I don't know too much about it myself.

Your wii will be fine, the DS however won't connect through those wifi settings.
